Starting in 2000 I began creating short multimedia promotional biographies of Gothic, Industrial, Electronica, EDM, IDM, Noise, Techno, Dark Pop, Electro Punk and Black Metal artists in Macromedia's Director/Shock Wave Format(SWF) and Flash. In 2015 I converted over 200 animations from Flash to HTML5 code and in 2017 I again converted the features to Mpeg4 YouTube Movies. These are my historical archives...
Summer 2002
Summer in Alaska. It's great having direct sun till 11 PM at night and then the longest sunsets you ever experienced. Looks like we only have eight features for twelve weeks but maybe I took some time off for a vacation.
So I got this debut EP from Girlie Action for a local NYC band. MAROON5. 11 years later as I look back I could not of guessed that they would become huge though the quality of the music is undeniable.
Girlie Action also sent me something from a major label (RCA) telepopmusik from France. Quite a step up for me.
The rest of this issue's features are more like what I usually get. First a self-title debut single from England by the band the Sepia. Then a band submitted CD by SPELLGATE, Lilac Ambush from Boston sent their new EP and from Australia Zeitgeist has submitted their 4th CD.
My favorite CDs this time around is the German band Beborn Beton and from Athens, the duo Jucifer. Check them out and see if you agree.
