Starting in 2000 I began creating short multimedia promotional biographies of Gothic, Industrial, Electronica, EDM, IDM, Noise, Techno, Dark Pop, Electro Punk and Black Metal artists in Macromedia's Director/Shock Wave Format(SWF) and Flash. In 2015 I converted over 200 animations from Flash to HTML5 code and in 2017 I again converted the features to Mpeg4 YouTube Movies. These are my historical archives...

Winter 2002

It's 2002 and I'm making a huge leap thinking the future of the internet is mobile and probably it will be accessed using a handheld device. So, I am switching from a desktop format for my flash animations (640X320) to something that fits a handheld screen better (290X240) starting with monthly issue #48.

To start things out I have an interview with the American band CESIUM137 about music technology. Art-Of-Fact records from Canada has sent me two Canadian bands, well one Canadian band and a German transplant, PSYCHE. the Psyche feature is a cool excerpt from his North American tour diary. Then a straight up German powerhouse NETZ! A German American Duo (HMB) and a Midwest band with a very German sounding name, STROMKERN. There's a dark alternative Australian band, devour ensemble, and a handful of excellent American bands to round it all out. Enjoy!

(Flash forward 8 years) Looks like I wasn't complete wrong thinking mobile would be the future, but along the way it looks like I lost most all of my support from the music community. Eventually submissions completely dried up as most music sites stuck with PC interfaces and even today in 2015 many bands still use Flash, even though all modern phones and tablets no longer support it.
