Starting in 2000 I began creating short multimedia promotional biographies of Gothic, Industrial, Electronica, EDM, IDM, Noise, Techno, Dark Pop, Electro Punk and Black Metal artists in Macromedia's Director/Shock Wave Format(SWF) and Flash. In 2015 I converted over 200 animations from Flash to HTML5 code and in 2017 I again converted the features to Mpeg4 YouTube Movies. These are my historical archives...
Winter 2003
A full quarter! a new submission every week. It doesn’t get any better than that and the submissions... they don't get any better either. Just check them out for yourself. From L.A. Blue Eyed Christ, from Boston, a rare interview with Lilac Ambush, from upstate New York, Mothers Gaping Hole and a demo from The Hungry Ghost. The American submissions keep coming with my favorite of the group, cut.rate.box. Finally we got a compilation of Manson covers, a true tribute to Marilyn.
The remainder of the submissions span the globe. First Agency-X, a Swedish American duo. There are two Canadian artists this time around, Minefield and Peaches. Got to love that Electroclash sound. I also have a couple of German acts, Dead Turns Alive and Massiv in Mensch return to Loopzine. Last but not least is a Japanese solo artist Seij minus aC.
You know Loopzine/PocketLoop has always been about the art as much as it has been about the music. Flash Forward 8 years- LoopZine continues to present itself as an artistic music fan website. I try hard to keep to the best web design guidelines of the moment. Gone is flash, but it's memory remains as the animations I created for the bands with Flash now display as HTML5.
Will I ever get back to releasing fresh new promotional animations...time will tell but bands are less likely to go to the expense of pressing CDs, which has always been a requirement of submission. Well, let us take a trip into the past and relive some of the music of the first decade of the current century.

(the original pitch)
Are you a music promotional/marketing firm (like Girlie Action NYC), a record label (like WTII Records or Art Of Fact) or a DarkWave, Gothic, Electro or Industrial band? Would you or your represented artist like to be featured in a future issue of our zine? you must be prepared to give us permission to use images and words from your web site and/or press kit. project. It can also be very auto-biographical as we often will merely mirror your web content using your own words in our interactive musical animations. Loop uses this multimedia production to highlight your current available product. You must also be willing to give permission to
Loop to sample from 20 to 40 seconds of your music for this production. Loop prefers to receive this product along with your press kit. E-mailed Electronic Press kits will not be accepted.
